Kyndall Smith

Miss Acadiana

&

Miss Louisiana 2023 Contestant

We asked Kyndall a few questions about the upcoming Miss Louisiana pageant that she will be competing in.

- (Pageant Realm): How did you start competing?

- (Kyndall): I participated in the Fleur-De-Lis Program that Miss Louisiana has. It is basically a camp where young girls make friendships, learn dances, and are mentored by the Miss titleholders. After being a Fleur-De-Lis princess for one year, I competed in the teen division for one year. Now, I am competing in the Miss division for the first year and I am so excited!

- (PR): What is your Pageant talent?

- (K): Vocal

- (PR): Tell us about your Community Service Initiative?

- (K): My CSI is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. When I was two years old, I was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, which is a tumor behind the eye. St. Jude gave me so many vivid memories as a child that made the Hospital feel more like a home. My goal is to spread awareness for St. Jude and what they have done for me.

- (PR): How are you feeling about the pageant now all the contestants have been announced and it's getting closer?

- (K): I am so excited! I am so honored to be competing with such talented and inspiring women. I am more ready than nervous. With pageant week starting within the next week, the anticipation is building up, and I am ready to have a fun and awesome week!

- (PR): How has your prep been building up to Miss Louisiana?

- (K): It has been going well. I’ve invested a lot of time, money, and effort for Miss Louisiana. It is crazy to think the week is right here, but I believe that the preparation I have done for it will pay off.

- (PR): What are you most excited about?

- (K): I am most excited about getting to know the girls better and creating lifelong friendships. Throughout the week, so many memories will be created and shared with the other women that I am so excited for!

- (PR): Are there any sponsors/partners you want to give a shoutout to?

- (K): I would like to thank all of the Miss Louisiana sponsors. The organization would not be the same without them! I would also like to thank all of the coaches, friends, and family that have supported and continue to support me on this journey. With that being said, my mom and dad cannot be thanked enough. I would not be able to do this without them, and I am so honored and grateful for this opportunity!
