Miya Colbert- Miss Kenner & Miss Louisiana USA 2023 Contestant

We asked Miya a few questions about the upcoming Miss Louisiana USA pageant that she will be competing in.

- (Pageant Realm:) How are you feeling about the pageant now all the contestants have been announced and it's getting closer?

- (Miya:) I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to be able to compete again this year. It's nice to see all the new faces as well as the familiar ones, I'm ready to hit the stage, give it everything I have and represent Kenner! My nerves usually don't kick in until the day before, so as of now I am on cloud nine.

- (PR) How has your prep been building up to Miss Louisiana USA?

- (M) Honestly there have been many hiccups, my health has been giving me a lot of issues so balancing that has been a challenge in and of itself. But nevertheless, I am here and I just believe that it is part of my story and journey, so I continue to take it one day at a time.

- (PR) What are you most excited about?

- (M) I am most excited about evening gown. I have really changed things up this year and pushed my own personal boundaries and I am excited to see it all come together on stage and strut my stuff!

- (PR) Are there any sponsors/partners you want to give a shoutout to?

- (M) Just The Headshots Guy. I am extremely grateful for the creativity and gift of photography skills. I am always so in love with the content created and I feel like it's an added boost of confidence going into pageant weekend with a great headshot.
