Katie Marie Matherne - Miss Kentwood & Miss Louisiana USA 2023 Contestant

We asked Katie a few questions about the upcoming Miss Louisiana USA pageant that she will be competing in.

- (Pageant Realm:) How are you feeling about the pageant now all the contestants have been announced and it's getting closer?

- (Katie:) Feeling so excited see everyone and to reunite with some long time friends. Pageantry is a close-knit community, and RPM is a wonderful example of that.

- (PR) How has your prep been building up to Miss Louisiana USA?

- (K) My pageant prep is going great, I always love diving deeper into myself and my goals, and working to improve my skills each pageant season.

- (PR) What are you most excited about?

- (K) Since I am a performer, I am most excited about being on stage and feeling the energy from the audience.

- (PR) Are there any sponsors/partners you want to give a shoutout to?

- (K) I can’t thank my wonderful Mom enough for supporting me in every way of preparation for this pageant. She makes it all possible, and I hope to make her and my sweet Dad in Heaven very proud.
