Jasmine Skye Baehr- Miss Birthplace of Jazz & Miss Louisiana USA 2023 Contestant

We asked Jasmine a few questions about the upcoming Miss Louisiana USA pageant that she will be competing in.

- (Pageant Realm:) How are you feeling about the pageant now all the contestants have been announced and it's getting closer?

- (Jasmine:) I am so humbled to be competing now as a married woman and military spouse after first competing and placing Top 5 in a Miss USA system state pageant as a single woman. I’ve seen one side of this pageant system before marriage, and am looking forward to competing now on the other side of the altar. It will be an honor to know my husband is in the audience in his dress blues.

- (PR:) How has your prep been building up to Miss Louisiana USA?

- (J:) Prep has been surprisingly smooth! The biggest hurdle we have tackled in this season is finally completing home insurance claims post-Ida on our old (but gold!) New Orleans house. I am seeing renovations through while simultaneously training and working full-time. Many Louisianans can relate to challenges in home insurance claims and renovations. “The bones are good” is something you’ll hear often about houses in Louisiana that have withstood our weather over the generations.

- (PR:) What are you most excited about?

- (J:) I am most excited about both the interview portion and in meeting my fellow sisters in Metairie. Win, lose, or draw, it is an honor to share that stage with such exceptional young women and to represent military spouses in the Miss USA system for the first time in history.

- (PR:) Are there any sponsors/partners you want to give a shoutout to?

- (J:) I am thrilled to announce that 100% of my sponsors are based in Louisiana, half of which are women-owned and operated. It is incredibly important to me to represent the Pelican State onstage. I consciously prioritized our own businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs in my sponsor search. Thank you for your faith, trust, and support!
